Five Year Review of Equality and Human Rights Scheme

Over the next few months the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Trust will be undertaking their statutory Five Year Review of their Equality Scheme. The review is a formal review to evaluate the effectiveness of our Equality Scheme in meeting our statutory duties. Dialogue with Section 75 groups is an important part of this review and the Trust welcomes the views and opinions of interested parties.

Good Relations

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Trust wishes to publicly outline its commitment to the promotion of good relations between people of differing religious belief, political opinion or racial group. As a health and social services organisation we are committed to promoting respect for diversity and to challenging sectarianism and racism in both employment and services. We believe that good relations is linked with equality of opportunity.

To date all managers within the Trust have participated in Diversity and Good Relations Training. This training will be delivered to all members of staff in 2006.
