NIAS Response Deployment Plan for Improving Response Times

The Trust is currently in the process of consulting local stakeholders to develop our Response Deployment Plan for Improving Response Times.

Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 requires public authorities to have due regard to the promotion of equality of opportunity;

between persons of different religious belief, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation;
between men and women generally;
between persons with a disability and persons without; and
between persons with dependants and persons without.

Without prejudice to these obligations, public authorities are also required to have regard to the desirability of promoting good relations between persons of different religious belief, political opinion or racial group.

The questionnaire in Appendix B of the Response Deployment Plan for Improving Response Times may assist you in providing a response in relation to the proposals outlined and in particular in relation to any potential equality impact.

Please forward responses to:

Michelle Lemon, Equality Manager, Human Resources, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Site 30, Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Saintfield Road, BELFAST, BT8 8GR

Telephone No. (028) 9040 0748, Fax No. (028) 9040 0903, Email mlemon@niamb.co.uk
