NIAS wins National Training Award[25/10/06 @ 16:45]
The Trust is proud to inform staff that NIAS picked up an award at the National Training Awards Gala held at Belfast City hall last night (17thOctober). The ceremony
was to the Regional Awards winners and to announce the National winners.
NIAS had put forward our Care and Responsibility Training Programme, delivered in partnership with Honestas, for consideration. We were informed in September that we had
won a regional award and had been nominated for the national award.
At the ceremony in Belfast City Hall Chief Executive, Liam McIvor proudly accepted the regional award on behalf of NIAS and the team was delighted when NIAS was announced as a National Award winner. This is to be presented to NIAS at another Awards night in London, in December.
Congratulations are sent to everyone involved; those who did the research, prepared the business plan, delivered the training and submitted the entry. The true success of this programme lies in the fact that it helps protect staff by providing them with the skills required to avoid or, if necessary, deal with violent incidents in the course of their duty.
